East Bay Kids

Kids don't have a junior-sized Holy Spirit.

When Jesus talked about children, He didn’t treat them like second-class members of the Kingdom. In fact, He told the adults that they needed to become like children to enter it.

There’s something powerful about the way kids trust, wonder, believe, and respond. We don’t want to teach that out of them. We want to help point it toward Jesus.

That’s why East Bay Kids is more than childcare while the adults have church. We believe kids can know Jesus right now. They can experience His presence, worship Him, learn His Word, pray boldly, and respond when the Holy Spirit is moving.

Our job isn’t to prepare kids to encounter God someday when they’re older.

It’s to help them recognize the One who is already inviting them close.

What to expect

    Check-In

    Your child’s safety is one of our top concerns. All children are securely checked in before entering their service area. Kids ages 4 & below stay in the nursery for the entirety of service. You can expedite the check-in process by filling out our pre-check in form below.

    Engage

    We believe the church is for all ages. Each generation can learn from the next. Kids in grades K-6 have the opportunity to engage with the Holy Spirit in our main worship service before being dismissed to a kids service designed just for them.

    Pick-up

    After service is over, head back to the kids area with your check-in ticket in hand. One of our friendly team members will assist you in checking your child out. * A CHECK-IN TICKET MUST BE PRESENT TO CHECK OUT YOUR CHILD.

We believe faith grows best in family.

Kids ministry was never meant to replace what happens at home. We believe parents have the greatest opportunity to disciple their kids, and the church gets to come alongside them.

That’s also why our elementary kids begin Sundays worshiping with the whole church. We want them to see Mom and Dad worship. We want them surrounded by teenagers, grandparents, and people in every season of life who are following Jesus.

Because we’re not just building a kids ministry. We’re building a church where families can encounter Jesus and grow together.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • East Bay Church meets Sundays at 10:30 AM. Nursery and preschool environments are available the entire service, while elementary kids begin in the main service for worship before being dismissed to East Bay Kids.

  • We're located at 5649 East Bay Blvd in Midway, Florida, conveniently between Gulf Breeze and Navarre.

  • Nope! You can check in when you arrive. If you'd like to make your first Sunday even easier, you can complete our online pre-check form ahead of time.

  • Yes. Every East Bay volunteer who works with children or teenagers under 18 is required to have a current background check on file.

  • We offer light snacks in all of our kids classes, usually crackers or chips along with juice or Capri Suns. Parents are welcome to send an alternative snack.

  • Please let us know at check-in if your child has an allergy. All of our kids’ spaces are tree-nut-free, and we do our best to have alternative snack options for children with allergies. You are also welcome to bring your own snacks for your child. Just give them to us at check-in.

  • Absolutely. We love all children and do our best to work with families who have special needs. We are a smaller sized church, which can be great for kids with special needs. Please let us know at check in if you need special accommodations.
